Aw Shucks & Big Shucks are established in 1983, the Peterson family has preserved the essence of a beach front atmosphere seafood shack, minus the beach. Now, with 5 locations throughout the Metroplex, Aw Shucks and Big Shucks welcome all families, friends, and co-workers to experience DFW’s Best Shuckin’ Seafood!
We offer a wide variety of fresh seafood choices including fried shrimp, oysters, and catfish, boiled shrimp and crab legs, fresh grilled seafood, fish tacos, po’ boy sandwiches and much more. Try our “House Specialty Shrimp Cocktail” a chilled beer glass mug filled fresh shrimp, avocado, onion, cilantro, tomatoes and Serrano peppers.

We checked out Aw Shucks for dinner tonight and had a really great experience! It’s a solid spot that we will definitely be returning to. The setup here is casual and efficient—you order up front at the counter, and then the staff brings the food right over to your table. The service was smooth, and the vibe is perfect for a relaxed, easygoing meal. Food was great!! + Crawfish: Nice and fresh and yummy! + Grilled Oysters: Really enjoyed these, packed with great flavor and tons of cheese and butter. + Clam Chowder: Incredible. Honestly some of the best I've ever had—they do not skimp on the clams, it was absolutely loaded. + Buffalo Wings: Actually pretty good! Just a pro-tip: make sure to ask for them crispy.

This place was so Goood! The staff was nice especially Chris, the manager. I had catfish filets, fried pickles, hot wings, and coconut shrimp. Everything was so crispy fried and delicious. Wish we had one of these locally but do sad we don't. If you're in Frisco, try this place!!!

My wife and I ate here on a recent Saturday night while in town for a conference. We had a great experience for our first time at an Aw Shucks. Front counter service was great, the food was very good, and the overall experience was just solid. Great job by the team!

Consistently good food every time we come here. Fast and friendly service. Crawfish were a little small but crawfish season has not fully ramped up yet. Head on shrimp with spicy garlic seasoning is everything! Oysters were fresh and tasty and you cannot beat the Happy Hour margaritas! 🍹 Otherwise no regrets! ✅️☺️

The crawfish boil was very good. Crawfish was between medium and small with some big ones but can’t beat the price. The fried catfish was very juicy and crispy. The shrimp cocktail was my favorite. The shrimp boil was just alright. Overall it was good and price was on point. I liked how spacious and relaxing the vibe was. Service was excellent.
